Singham Movie Review...
The short and sweet love story starts of, and runs in the background. Very filmy beginning of a love story you can say which has been repeated a millions of times before, where a girl gets impressed by s guy who fights many bullies("Gundaas") for her ("izzat"), but the twist is in the "who proposes to whom..." part of this story. Heroine doesn't have much of a role to play but whatever small role she has played, she looks cute and we do remember her after the film.
Then there goes on an intense fight between David and Goliath, where Bajirao Singham(Ajay Devgan) takes pangaa with very powerful (both in terms of money and politics) Jaykant Shikre. Very impressive work by the villain Jaykant Shikre with his funny dialogues, which you will surely hear lingering in the minds and mouth of the youth for at least a month now.(The signature dialogue being "Ata mazi satakliye !!").
A story is nicely built around a theme, with some unbelievable action sequences (beating Rajnikant on a few occasions). This movie does give you a feel that you are watching a Salman Khan movie, but Ajay Devgn surely makes his mark.
The hero is from a Marathi family and they have selected many Marathi actors for small roles, with Marathi dialogues popping up after every couple of sentences, which are forcefully brought in. And sounds weird sometimes. Few comic scenes are really not necessary. The role Ashok Saraf has played reminds you the role played by Paresh Rawal in the film ‘Mumbai..Meri jaan’.
All in all, a fun movie to watch, go for it once..........
Nicely summerised Suyash.. Good job..
ReplyDeleteJust one more dialog you forgot to mention "Ali re ali ata tuzi bari ali" :)
